The Moldovian Socca Championship reached a thrilling conclusion. In this final the battle was between Geotermal (Chisinau) and VivaFarm (Tiraspol). The remarkable thing was not only the game between this two powerful teams but also that the final took place on the new Sport Facility, the wonderful, Lions Arena. A state of the art stadium, that is already recognised as one of the best in Europe that opened doors in October 2019 and have two small sided football stadiums with all infrastructure that is needed.
With full stands watching on at the Arena, the winner of the final and all Amoliga Socca Championship was crowned Geotermal (Chisinau).This was not a massive shock, given that they are a team that is made up mostly players playing for National Team of Moldova that made such an historic result on the World Cup in Crete this year. Eventually finishing in fourth place, losing only to host nation, Greece in the third placed match, after a tight match ended 2-1.
Along the way they’d beaten the highly fancied French team 1-0 in the quarter-finals, to underline their class and potential as an emerging force on the World Stage
Even if the championship is over everyone are waiting for the start of the new season as to fight for their place at upcoming Socca Champions League 2020.
