The International Socca Federation can announce that our Head Office in the UK has closed temporarily to meet government regulations in the country.
The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, a keen supporter of socca, who has endorsed affiliated leagues in the past, has requested that anyone who can work from home does so, as the UK starts to feel the worst excesses of the worldwide Coronavirus crisis.
We had hoped to stay open, but after close consultation with government officials, it has now decided that we must close, until at the earliest, Tuesday 14th April.
All our staff are working from home, though and service to you, our valued members, will not be affected in any way.
The unprecedented global pandemic of Covid-19 has had a devastating affect everywhere in the world, and there is scarcely a business in the world that has not been forced to change it’s working practices – we should, after all, have been meeting for our Spring Conference this weekend, and now we won’t be able to welcome friends and colleagues from all over the world to Birmingham.
Most importantly, though, we would like to extend our most sincere good wishes to any member or their families that have been affected by this awful crisis.
The socca family will return, stronger than ever!
