Eight groups of four teams will make up this year’s Inaugural 6-a-side Socca World Cup taking place in Lisbon, Portugal.
With the Socca World Cup draw looming, the ISF are delighted to release the match schedule which will follow a typical World Cup format known to millions around the world. Each team will play a minimum of three group games, with the top two teams from each group moving into the knockout stages. Winners from groups A, D, F and H will go to one side of the draw. Those teams will pair off against runner-up teams from groups B, C, E and G. The other half of the draw will see Winners from groups B, C, E and G pair off against runner-up teams from groups A, D, F and H. Following true knockout style format, the losing teams from this point onward will be heading home. Quarterfinals, Semifinals and The Final are the only three games that will stand between them and world championship status.
The 6-a-side Socca World Cup draw will be streamed live on the International Socca federation Facebook and YouTube pages this evening at 8.30 GMT, broadcast live from Lisbon.
